Pilgrim Hitchhiking on the Road of Life

I prefer your song to fill

the space between us.

I want every reason

you have for the spread of light

in humanity...

to share

what I hear in your plea

for love.

I desire your kind of magic

as you dance or stumble

through transformation.

Your supplication

of wisdom, freedom and

transcendence always just

out of reach.

Your fragile voices of

unmitigated sorrow

and small wonders

discovered in the blue darkness

that holds the stars

in a great expanse of mystery

           an uncanny faith.

In your face I see myself

full of love’s attachments.

Now here is my gratitude

for sharing this road

of phenomena,

where I too am lost sometimes

in the unknown

in hands of prophecy

wild fools, tarot and the Tao.

Let’s remember to be gentle...

for I am abandoned to your song

as a first and last kiss

of immense awareness

while our lives

circle around each other

to meet again at the crossroads.
